15. Appointment. – (1) The Board may, if it
is of the opinion that it is necessary so to do in
the interest of the Wakf, appoint an Executive
Officer with such supporting staff as it considers
necessary for any wakf having a gross annual income
of not less than five lakhs rupees as provided in
section 38 of the Act and Chapter VII of the Kerala
Wakf Rules , 1996.
(2) The appointment of the Executive Officer may be
either on contract basis or on deputation from the
employees of the Kerala Wakf Board.
(3) The appointment shall be initially for a period
of one year which may be extended for a further
period of two years. In special circumstances, such
period may be extended for another period of two
years. However, in no circumstance, the term shall
be extended beyond a total period of five years
continuously.
16. Conditions of Service.– The salary and
allowance including T. A and D.A of the Executive
Officer and his staff shall be fixed by the Board in
accordance with the provisions contained in sub-
sections (4) and (5) of section 38 of the Act.
